Great early season pollen source for native sweat bees, mining bees, mason bees, bumble bees and hover flies. Very common plant found in wet meadows throughout the Northwest. Blooms in sync with camas creating impressive swaths of purple and yellow.
Seed Packet Contains: approximately 100 seeds
Direct sowing: best sown in fall. Seeds will germinate readily in fall and grow steadily throughout the winter. Can be sown in spring (before April), plants will be shorter.
Growing transplants: Seeds do not exhibit dormancy but germinate best in cool temperatures (50-60 degrees).
