Pop-up #4 - A Southeast Portland Collaboration!

This season's SE Portland Pop-up is brought to you by an exciting collaboration; Brentwood-Darlington Neighborhood Association (BDNA), Multnomah County Master Gardeners' Demonstration Garden, and Black Futures Farm.

BDNA is an all-volunteer organization made up of neighbors just like you! They help neighbors stay informed and engaged in local issues, advocate for transportation and infrastructure projects, throw community events, support local business and much more.

Multnomah County Master Gardeners' Demonstration Garden is an inspiring showcase of sustainable gardening practices where they conduct garden tours, organize classes, experiment with research-based techniques and share their findings. Garden produce is donated to organizations that assist community members in need.

Black Futures Farm exists to repair the broken relationship between Black people and the land. While cultivating produce, they are also cultivating community by hosting workshops, attending farmers markets, and having volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

What do they have in common? You can find all of these groups getting their hands dirty on the Green Thumb Site; a 12.8 acre urban agriculture site in SE Portland that promotes equitable access to healthy produce, gardening education and community connection.

Pick-up your plants in SE Portland (Brentwood-Darlington Community Center, 7211 SE 62nd Ave) on Fri, Oct 27 or Sat, Oct 28 to support them! They plan to use plant sale proceeds to expand their organizational capacities for rich community-based programming and events!
