Kinnikinnick (also known as ‘Common Bearberry’), is an evergeen trailing plant that forms a dense ground cover. It has the same type of urn-shaped flowers found on Hairy Manzanita and Pacific Madrone. On Kinnikinnick, the tiny flowers are white to pink, and appear from April to June. They mature in late fall into small red or orange berries that persist into winter. (Portland Plant List, 2016)
