The tiny, white or pink flowers of Shiny-leaf Spiraea appear in July and August in flat clusters that form a dense crown on top of the plant. This plant has a considerable range of habitat, being found all the way from sea level to nearly 10,000 ft. elevation. It seems to be at home in the dry shade at the edge of conifer forests or in open, sunny wet places as well. (Portland Plant List, 2016)
