      Penstemon barrettiae

      Aka Barrett's Penstemon.  Grows in shady, dry, rocky places, often rooted on rock walls and cliffs. Endemic only to a small section of East Columbia Gorge. In home garden, place in rock wall, or between large stones with good drainage.

      • Size at maturity: 9"-15"
      • Canopy layer: groundcover
      • Light requirements: part sun / part shade
      • Moisture requirements: dry to moist, well-drained soil
      • Special features: supports hummingbirds
      • Bloom time: April to May
